Welcome to Fairview Homestead – a distinctive Cape Georgian flat-roofed house (circa 1861). Home to the Benkensteins since 1995.

Just as planting a garden is an act of faith, so is choosing your accommodation.

We believe you will love Fairview Homestead as much as we do.

A good breakfast, a firm mattress, wifi, maybe a bathrobe, space for your luggage, a small fridge, good quality coffee in your room. Hair dryer, free off-street parking, possibly an iron and ironing board – at Fairview you will find all that, and more.

Because of Covid-19 we are only offering three bedrooms online. Breakfast is either a packed breakfast or served on a tray in your bedroom or in front of your bedroom on the porch. For more on Covid-19 precautions click on this link.

CHECK-IN: FROM 3.30 PM – 6.30 PM.

Arrival outside this period by prior arrangement only.

‘Excellent breakfast, great hospitality, beautiful gardens’

‘I travel to George periodically for business and am so grateful to have discovered this gem. Each visit has been a unique experience as each room at Fairview transcends you to a different era with its authentic historic style and decor but still providing the best modern-day comfort and luxuries. Philda is an unbelievable host and her breakfasts are simply scrumptious served in the splendid dining room overlooking a beautiful local open garden outside. No faults can be found here so don’t hesitate to come to see for yourself!’

‘Sehr gutes Frühstück mit Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten und selbstgemachten Säften und Marmeladen’

‘Nie totsiens, maar tot weerziens’

‘Loved the bed (best bed ever) and the luxury in the rooms as well as the quaint down to earth feeling of the house and the rich history’
