up the challenge to rescue this historic George landmark – always
bearing in mind that the challenge in restoring and maintaining any old
building remains staying true to the authenticity of the structure.

furniture and working fireplaces lend warmth and character to the spacious bedrooms. Explore

including a kitchen garden, a small orchard and even a few chickens -
only the best homemade jams and fresh eggs for breakfast at
Fairview! Philda runs the Guesthouse and the kitchen, with
open hearth and bakoond, is also her domain.

Homestead is just 8 km from Victoria Bay Beach and 20 km from George
Airport. George makes an excellent base from which to explore the
Garden Route, famous for its scenic beauty, fynbos, long sandy beaches
and some of the finest golf courses. Take a day trip to Knysna (30
minutes drive away), Oudtshoorn / Cango Caves (1 hour's drive) or
Mossel Bay / White Shark cage diving (40 minutes drive).
